In celebration of America 250, the Williams Township Supervisors have established a new History Commission for the purpose of preserving, sharing and expanding the considerable history documented by the preceding Bicentennial History Committee and Williams Township Historical Society (WTHS), over the past 50 years. The History Commission has already established an on-line Digital History Library which contains: The “Bicentennial History of Williams Township” book; all 196 quarterly issues of the WTHS “Pastfinder” newsletter from 1977-2025; all 7 WTHS “Passport to History” packages from 2019-2025: and several publications on early township settlers and original land warrants, surveys and patents. Year-round Programs:
The History Commission will maintain an on-line Digital History Library and hold periodic Open Houses at the historic Fairview School House on Morgan Hill Road to display and discuss township history and sell history publications. Other programs will be provided as opportunities arise.
2026 COMING EVENTS:
On April 25, 2026, the History Commission has invited General George Washington to appear at the Williams Township Fire Company’s 5 th Annual Food Truck & Craft Fair Event from 11am until 7pm at Fire Company No. 1 Station at 2500 Morgan Hill Rd, Easton, PA 18042. General Washington will speak on his life at noon and stay for Lehigh Valley 250 photo opts with visitors to the event until 3:00 p.m. Come celebrate America’s 250th with General Washington and support the Fire Company with good eats, craft shopping, a Tricky Tray, and history information table, too.
