Kalmbach Memorial Park & Estate

Description:

Kalmbach Memorial Park is a distinct community center established by the late industrialist, Frederick Kalmbach Sr., founder of Electric Furnace Man, in Emmaus, PA. Although born in Germany in 1879, Mr. Kalmbach felt deeply privileged to experience the freedoms and cultural diversity of America. Therefore, he bequeathed his twenty-acre homestead as a place for others to gather and appreciate the freedoms and profound wonders of our God-given American heritage.

Frederick Kalmbach was a man with a vision who wanted to share his ideals of patriotism and his love of nature with the citizens of Macungie and the surrounding community.

Mike and Denise Brosky, the administrators of the park, take care of the grounds and scheduling of classes and events. Under the support of Trustees, Don Young, John Albright, and Karen Holt, today Kalmbach Memorial Park provides a variety of programs geared to all ages and interests of the Macungie Community. Lectures, historical programs, art classes, and health events all foster learning opportunities. Kalmbach Memorial Park also opens its doors to non-profit community groups that need a space to gather for their meetings. Come enjoy nature trails, a scavenger hunt for families to learn about nature and history, a natural apiary with a bench to observe the bees and beautiful walking paths that meander through fields and wooded areas of the estate. It is truly a gem of Macungie.

Other: There are picnic tables and benches located around the park to sit and enjoy a lunch or observe nature. Guests may also use the gazebo located on the property to enjoy with their families. There are No trash containers on the property. All trash must be taken out with guests visiting the park
