Description:
The museum contains artifacts and photos of the Kutztown area, including Native American artifacts, Keith Haring original drawings, Pennsylvania long rifles, textiles, and more. Our non-circulating library features books and periodicals relevant to Kutztown, Pennsylvania, and the Pennsylvania Dutch culture. The model train display is a holiday tradition for many families. The annual holiday festival features the model trains, arts, crafts, food, Christmas cookie sale, and a quilt raffle. Our museum, office, and library/archives live inside the 1892 Public School Building, a magnificent example of Victorian architecture, that is on the National Register of Historic Buildings.
