Description:
Visitors to the Lower Macungie Historical Society will learn about the history and development of Lower Macungie Township (LMT) and the surrounding region. Agriculture, iron mining and Pennsylvania German heritage are a central part of 18th and 19th-century LMT history. The museum features many displays, interpretive signs, artifacts, a farm wagon, a large screen TV with videos, history books and much more. Local historians are present to answer questions and provide explanations about each of the exhibits.
The museum is located in the lower level of a barn, located in Camp Olympic Park. Families will especially enjoy a playground and memorial garden situated just beyond the barnyard wall.
